Please help me with a version question. I am using CR9 Pro to design reports based on tables on a SQL server (ODBC connection).
RAS is great for distributing simple reports, but drill-down takes forever on my complex reports. So I'm looking to buy a couple of low cost CR licenses for some of my managers that need to read these reports and drill down quickly. These managers will be doing no design, can't see need to spring for more expensive license if Standard version will let them use the reports...
Q: Will CR 9 Standard or CR 10 Standard be able to make the ODBC connection and read the data from my SQL Server tables?
Q: Is there any reason a CR Standard user won't be able to read/drilldown/sort RPT files I created with Pro?
Q: Does this sound like the best/most economical way to speed drilldown?
Thanks for feedback,
ES
