veritas backup

Hello Everyone:

I cannot backup on Veritas 9. My network system is Microsoft Windows 2000 Server. I followed directions on Backup Wizard but it still does not work. Also, I having trouble with restoring even after I used Restore Wizard.

You don't give much information. So it's really going to be hard to help you.

Let's try though:

1. What are you trying to backup?

2. When you installed Backup Exec, what access did you give to the services? (to check, right click on the My Computer icon, select Manage, expand until you see Services. Click on that. In the right pane, scroll until you see the Backup Exec services. What does it say for Log On As??)

Another thing......check the Backup Exec Alert tab and Windows Event Viewer Logs for any error messages that might relate to this.
