We are currently running Enterprise Vault on a server. Every evening Veritas Netbackup directly backs up the entire contents of the C drive directly onto our SAN storage device. This operation is scheduled to start at 11.30pm and finishes about 2.30am
However the following day we have found by looking at Event viewer messages, that prior to the backup starting there is Insufficient diskspace available on the C drive for the Enterprise Vault server to run and as a result the services will stop however the backup completes without any problem. This is very strange as I there is 16GB worth of space left on the C drive.
What I am trying to find out is when the Veritas backup occurs every night does it create a Snap info file on the C drive thus using up the resources of the C drive. Or does it use up the resources of the server which in turn stops the Enterprise Vault Services.
