I am running windows 2003 with Backup Exec v9.0. My question is, how can I tell what file the backup is freezing up on?
I am using a UniVerse system with an SQL database. The problem I am having is my some of my scheculed tasks are not able to run because Backup Exec does lock up the files. I know about the open file option but if I run that and one of my tasks makes a change it could corrupt the file.
I want to know where my Backup is freezing up and slowing down. My processor is a Xeon 5160 @ 3.00GHz also I have 4 gigs ram in my server, will upgrading the ram help any with the speed of the the back up? If so by how much on avg. Let say I upgrade to 6 gigs of ram. About how much faster will each gig back up? I am backing up about 300 gigs, full backup compressed.
