Veritas backing up to wrong tape

Help!!

I am running Veritas 9.1, using an HP Ultrium LTO1.

This backup server was already setup by someone else, and I just started working here.

It has a different backup job for each server. It first backs up to disk, right after that there is another job that copies everything from disk to tape. The problem I am having is that on Wednesdays some of the second part of the backup (from disk to tape) is going to the wrong tape. Let's say instead of using Wednesday's tape, it goes to Monday's. And then on Saturday and Sunday only one job backs up to the right tape, everything else goes to Friday's.

Can anyone help me figure this out?

Im assuming that you are using a tape library??

You need to configure library partitioning & create a partition for each day of the week, then configure the jobs to run to the corrosponding partition.

Thanks for your help Rols. That work for me, and I guess I will have to create more jobs for each day and for each server, since I was asked to select a job and where it should be going to.

Yes unfortunatley thats right you will have to create a new job for each day of the week.
