We are running veritas 9.1 backup to disk.
We have a cdl700 disk array approx 20 ter.
backing up four servers with overwrite set at 3 days.
After the three days the virtual tapes(disks) go into the scratch media but the data stays on the disk and it just keeps filling up.
Is there a function that we are missing to erase the data after the three days?

Thanks

Goto tools - options - media management and change the option to overwrite recycle media first. Also, set all the jobs to overwrite. If you set it to append/overwrite and there is a bkf file that is appendabe - it will append the switch to overwrite and start creating more files. If you do as I mention you will lay down a certain set of files that will always stay and they will be re-used.
