We're trying to set up a Symantec Velociraptor as out VPN Gateway accross the net.

We've tried two connections so far.

One was from a Windows XP laptop from inside the same building. We have 2 IPs from the same DSL line here. Going accross our second IP back into our first IP where the Velociraptor sits, the XP laptop connects OK.
Once it's connected I am able to ping the outside interface (eth0) of the Velociraptor and the Inside interface (eth1). But I can't ping any other entity on the LAN. I've tried connecting to 0.0.0.0 through the gateway, tried our subnet, tried pretty much everything and most of the time we got the same result. This laptop has an IP on the same subnet as the network inside the Veloicraptor.

The second attempt was from a friend's machine on a completely differant network, IP scheme and subnet. This attempt also connected OK. But once connected, we couldn't ping anything. Not even the outside interface that we were supposedly Connected to!

The XP laptop doesn't have a virtual network interface installed as far as I can see, so I can't check to see if it's pulling a valid address.
I didn't check the virtual adapter on my friends machine...

Any ideas??

Thanks,

Ken
