Hi

We have a problem at out site with veritas version 10.0 rev 5484.

The server is a SBS2003 and a sony AIT backup drive. The backup runs through fine and backs up the individual mailboxes except one user where we get the error:

V-79-57344-33928 Access is denied
Access denied to file (username). Top of informaion store.

This message apears in the log on every one of his emails. not just once for his mailbox

This also corrisponds to a event ID 11 in the event log
"the driver detected a controller error"

Veritas has been uninstalled and reinstalled, and if we remove him from the brick level backup the backup runs through fine.

The user uses outlook 2000

Any Ideas

Check the permissions on the account running the backup job to ensure it has the proper rights to that users mailbox. I use BE 9.1 on a AAWindopws 2003/Exchange 2003 server. I see the occational Access Denied message, but it usually involves an encryed e-mail or password protected ZIP file.

The permissions are correct and can view the messages in the brick level backup, also this happens on every single one of his messages, not just the odd one.
