Happy New Year to all:
I have a problem that just showed up.
I have two IPO 500 systems that are essentially identical. They are running 4.2(23) with EVM and a VCM 32 card in each system.
The systems are setup to call each other over a VPN that is working just fine. I am not using SCM
Both systems have been in place for almost a year with no major problems.
In the past couple of days I am getting a VCM channel alarm that says all the VCM compresson channels are in use. But just on one system, not both.
Each site has the following licenses:
IP500 Upgrade Standard to Professional
IP500 VCM Channels
IP500 Voice Networking (Additional channels)
IP500 Voice Networking (Base 4 channels)
If I understand this correctly, with this setup I should have 8 channels of voice networking available. Which should mean I can have up to 8 converstions between the two sites at once.
Is this correct?
My understanding was the VCM card itself allowed 4 channels and the licenses allow 4 more channels.
Could it be the one office is trying to call other office more and that is why I am getting the alarm only at the one site?
Also, if I need more channels I will need to buy both, VCM channels license AND the Voice Networking (additional channels license). Is that correct?
If I upgrade to 5.0 would that eliminate any of the license issues?
Thanks for the expert help.
