VBscript to add Dword entry for current user on logon

As a very newbie to VBscript, I need help in writing a probably very simple logon script to add a Dword entry to the registry. I built a ghost image for classromms, but by the time the image was deployed the desktop icons where stale and the balloon notification about cleanup shows for each new user. I am not able to find a GPO to shut it off, and a Microsoft white paper tells me to add the registry entry as disabled. It works, but I need an easy way to get it to all computers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
