Problem with saving certain excel00 files using excel97 with VBA window open (or when I try to save modified code and then closing VBA prior to saving). My computer has W95 with office 97 SR-2 package. Other computer has W98 with office 2000. Error says in VBA window "System Error &H8000FFFF (-2147418113). Unexpected failure."
I can resave file with excel open only and will convert auto on my machine to 97 version, but when it tries to do so with situation above, no go and hence the infamous (to me) message. Any clues? This did not seem to be a problem when the VBA programmer and I had similar platforms. Is there a lack of VBA compatability that came with these excel versions?
