I am having trouble running macros. I can record a macro and veiw it but when I try to run one that is prexisting it tells me the class is not registered. What might be the problem and how do you fix it.

It is an application in ACCAPC for Windows and version is vb 6. I am also running the Macro on a win xp machine.

vb 6?

First of all, this is the VBA forum, not the VB forum. But I am wondering what the relevance to vb 6 is. What does vb 6 have to do with things?

You say you can record macros. Do you have any problem running those? You say you have existing macros. Were they recorded? Where did they come from?

In any case, if those macros use specific classes, and those classes are not available, then you will need to make them available.

That is what I am trying to find out how to make them available. The reason why I put this in VBA because it is an application for ACCPAC that was developed in Visual Basic. I was able to edit the macro in Visual Basic version 6 which is on my computer. The macro was not recorded it was coded to work in ACCPAC I can run recorded macros still. It changed about a couple of weeks ago where I am not able to use this very detailed macro either running it or editing it. It tells me that the class isn't registered.
