Hi,

Sometimes in a workbook all of a sudden the buttons go missing.

Any ideas on why this happens?

Thanks,

Chris

More details would be helpful. Which type of buttons / where located / actions leading to disappearance / etc.

Regards,
Mike

Yeah I thought more details might be required :)..

The type of buttons are the ones that you can add to the worksheet the normal vba ones that you can drag on from the control toolbox.

Located on the sheet.

Actions leading to disappearance don't know.

Sorry for the lack of information. I just know that it has happened in the past sometimes on people's pc's and wondered whether people have had that experience and give like maybe 3 reasons or whatever off the top off their head...

Thanks,

Chris

Are they, perhaps, declining to enable macros when the spreadsheet opens?

wouldn't make the buttons disappear - just disables them

frozen panes?

Is there a chance that the buttons are being hidden when columns or rows are hidden? You can fix that by changing the button property to "Don't move or size with cells".

You might need to get hold of one of the balky files and write a little debugging VBA code to see if the controls are still somewhere on the sheet, or if they were deleted somehow.
