Hi,

We would like to convert our solution to run on PDA's (I think thats the right acronym (the little hand held computers?).

Can anybody point me into the direction of achieving this - code conversion - and software installation - (it does read Access database).

Then.....!..we want to be able to input data onto this VB on a PDA and have it downloaded to a central place...

Sounds really tricky - but where to start would be great help!

You can do it using Active Sync. However converting from Access to Pocket access may result to bloated database.

For what its worth, I can confirm that your acronym is correct

PDA - Personal Digital Assistant

Unfortunately, from a software development perspective, I have no experience with them as of yet. Good Luck

It all depends on which PDA ( and hence OS) you want to convert your code to. Some PDA's run Palm OS which is a 'C' based operating system so you will need to rewrite your code in 'C'. You can get more information at
Other PDA's run Microsofts Pocket PC Operating System which you can get a cutdown version of VB to write code for. This however, will restrict the PDA's that you can run your software on.

Hope this helps,
