Can anyone help,

I've create a Visual Basic Application and Published it, I only have one problem. When i publish the application there are a few extra files that are created to make the application run, which mean when it gets published these files are also on the desktop.

Is there a way to hide these file.

Please please can anyone help, or can some please provide instructions on how to publish an application as im not sure i am doing it right.

Thanks so much

I'm not sure what you mean by "publishing" an application. That appears to be a non-standard word for what it is that you are doing. Do you mean compile? Deploy? Package? Please clarify that as a first step to getting help.

It's all right. How exactly are you deploying your application?

Whatever deployment application you are using should give you the option of where to copy the files to.

I'm not familiar with it. What version of Visual Studio are you using?

ClickOnce is a VS 2005 feature. There is little chance we're discussing a VB5/6 application here, but it's possible.

VS2005 != VB5/6

Yes, this is the wrong forum. VB5 & 6 is a distinctly different language from VB.Net.

Preaching to the converted you were, too. :) I wanted to hear the OP say it, though, so he could move on and repost as johnwm suggested. It appears he has done so, so mission accomplished.

Thanks everyone for your help i have reposted my problem to the suggested place.

Thanks
