Hey,

I'm trying to run a VB app I wrote that has worked fine in the past. Now everytime I run it, I get that IE Security Warning prompt that asks me whether I want to install and run "eConnect v1.0.0.1", authenticity verified by Thawte Server CA. Of course I never say yes.

My app has a couple WebBrowser controls on it, and it talks to a SQL database (if this is relavent). My IE security level is set to medium. I'm running VB 6 (sp5) and IE 6 on Windows XP Pro. I've ran all the windows updates (as far as I'm aware) and ran Ad-aware 6.0 this morning. Does anyone else get anything like this? Does anyone know what it could be?

WEIRD. checked the same project out of sourcesave onto a clean box, same thing. Decided I would just work around it because I was getting nowhere. Made some (seemingly) unrelated changes to the main project file (like adding another class) and voila, problem gone! checked it all into sourcesave and got the latest version on the clean box; also gone! what a mystery. Could something have infected the sourcesave file on the server, then VB filtered out the bad code when it rewrote the file? Maybe we'll never know.
