Ok here is the problem I am running into: I am trying to make an official memo that will be printed via a report from a database that will be used for trouble tickets. According the government specs the signature block has to be a certain amount of spaces below the last part of the body of the memo. My chief wants the signature block on each page, but with a variable amount of information in the main body the footer will be at varying lengths from the last bit of info because the footer always stays at the same location. How can I get the footer to move up or down based on the amount of information in the main body of the report. The report consists of several sub reports that can span several pages or only take up one. Any page that is full looks fine but the last page will normally have less than sufficient information to fill the page so the space between the body and the signature block is much greater than it should be. I am getting much better with VBA, thank goodness, so hopefully I will understand any suggestions that are given. If you do have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi
Can you use the Report Footer for the last page? I have not fully tested, but it appears in variable postions, and you can set the Page Footer properties of the report to "Not with Report Footer".

The solution I use for this type of problem is to put the main body of the report into a sub report. Place a SubReport control onto the main report and size it vertically so that it is too small for the minimum amount of data. Set CanGrow to true. Place you signature block immediately below the subreport.

Ah! I will try tonight when I get into work. I don't see why it wouldn't work. I can't believe that didn't occur to me considering ive other subreports. Ok great thanks to both of you for your suggestions. I will try it tonight and let you know what I find. Thanks again

Nope :( still doesn't work. I will continue to mess with it and see what happens. Thanks again for the suggestions though.
