I am trying to get a Vantage 175 up and running in our lab environment. Created an HTTP Server using HFS. I see the files being requested and served:

However, the Vantage device seems unchanged. Also get a message stating that the "Configured phone application was not found on the...."

Did you edit the K1xxSupgrade.txt file as per documentation?

Yes. For starters, I'm noticing that the K1xx_SIP-baseopkgsystem.img_4d10d411.tar does not seem to be downloading.

What are you using for a HTTP server?

Tried IIS and HFS. Do you have any other suggestions?

HFS worked great for me. I know IIS needs to have the MIME settings set.

Vantage handsets are such a ballache and not worth the time spent on them IMHO.

For IIS you need to add the following MIME types;

. apk – application/vnd.android.package-archive
• .pem – file/download
• .sig – file/download
• .sig256 – file/download

The dialer apps are okay because they are small and one file so very quick and easy to know if it has worked or not.

But the firmware is squarely in the cross-fingers and pray arena. The fact that when it works it still takes so long makes it can be very hard to know if it is working or not in the first place. I currently have a K155 that has sat at "System upgrade downloads 0% done" for several weeks but since the basic dialer on it is working fine I've decided to just let it be.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
