Hi,
I installed 2x VAM2 cards in our 7206 routes because the VPN Processing in software drove up the CPU to 100% and caused issues.
On one of the Routes, all works great, however the other router, even though the VAM is active and from the VAM stats you can see ifs processing lots of packets, however the CPU still suffers.
Pre the VAM installation ( software processing ) when around 8MB tries to traverse the VPN, both router CPU`s would hit 100%.
With the VAM cards in and processing, at around 30MB, router 1 sits at around 1-2% utilisation, the other is around 40%!!! at 40Mb`s its even higher and non workable
Both routers have the same IOS, hardware.
