Value Guessing

I'm not quite sure on how to put this. Say I have a list of different values that one could choose from located in the properties of a text box. I was wondering if one were to type in first letter then a list of values would pop-up that start with that letter, the more letters you input the less the values become until one is left. If someone could give me some info on this is would be most helpful...

You could accomplish this using the Combo box. The Combo box has this feature bulit in.

The ComboBox control's .AutoExpand property is the one you want to look at, SoyDelicious. As the user types in the ComboBox, the first entry in the list that begins with the characters typed so far is displayed -- this doesn't interfere with continuing to type normally or limit what can be typed in the box. Check out the Help Files.

You might also want to look at the .LimitToList property and the .OnNotInList property (and associated event) while you're at it. They're just useful to know about when working with ComboBoxes.

[P.S. About your username, SoyDelicious... Are you saying that you are delicious ("Soy" in Spanish means "I am&quot? Or are you just really enthusiastic about Soy (as in products of the soy plant and soybeans)? ]
