Validation of forms behavior

Does anyone know how to use dreamweaver 4's
validate form behavior to validate lists /menu's or
radiobuttons or checkbox's,
I understand how to validate text fields but the name of
menu's check boxes or lists don't appear in the validate form dialogue box...

please help.
