validating email address entry

hi,
is there a way to validate an email address when it is entered in a field on an Access form? not only the format, but whether the address is valid??

thanks!

There is no easy, guaranteed way. There are several companies out there that advertise a web service or other services to do this for you at a cost. Google 'validate email address without sending' for more information.
