I've found many a page explaining how to use the vaddhost utility to configure virtual hosts in Apache. I have not found any place to obtain the utility. Can anyone send me in the right direction please? I'm fairly new to the *nix/ apache scene so be gentle

The Apache httpd.conf section on VirtualHosts should be fairly easy to understand. In the long run, you'll learn much more configuring it by hand, making the occasional mistake along the way. Just make sure that you save a copy of the original httpd.conf somewhere and run 'apachectl configtest' after making any changes to the conf file.
