V92 modem upgrade

I am thinking of upgrading to a v92 modem.
My ISP has told me that the are v92 compatible, what I need to know is, is it easy to upgrade a modem?

Do I have to physically replace the old one or can the new be used without having to touch my old v90?

Can anyone recommend a good one?

I have a Dell Dimension with a U.S Robotics v90 modem.

Can you tell us some more like the model number .
Is it internal(PCI) External(Comport) External(USB)

It's an internal modem, but when it comes to the model etc. I have no idea. I downloaded a program off the Robotics website a while ago which was supposed to identify my modem so I could download an upgrade, but it didn't seem to work.

This computer is about five years old so maybe the modem couldn't support an upgrade.

Sorry, I'm not exactly a wealth of info..
