Hello

Server V440 Solaris 9
This server has an ethernet fibre card 1GB and an rj45 ethernet 100/1000 port.
The rj45 in ifconfig shows as ce0, as opposed to bge0.
I'm sure ce0 should be the ether fibre card!

Then, the fibre card shows as ce2.

I tried a sys-unconfig to try to sort this out but to no avail.

Have you had this problem before?

In addition, it looks like the fibre card has been set to 1GB full duplex.
How can I change this to AutoNegotiation?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone?

Hi. Try a keyword search for autonegotiate - in particular Thread60-747992

Hope this helps.

I get Page Not Found.

Thanks Ken.

The V440 has two built-in CE ports (will show as ce0 and ce1) so if you add a network card then you will have ce2.

Did not know that tuak?
You 100% sure?

The V440 has 2 ethernet Gigabit ports, these are ce0 and 1 as mentioned by tuka?
Did not know this.
I thought they would have been bge0 and bge1 like on the V240.

Yep got it.
Thanks Tuka and daFranze!
