We have a Passport 8600 with 2 CPU cards running v30 code. We are going to upgrade to v303 code and would like to leave one card on v30 code for fall back and place v303 code on the other card. Is there any problems associated with running two different versions of boot code and OS on the same 8600? If so, why? What would be wrong with this... what mechanics are in place to prevent it? What sort of problems might we experience?

well you can have both images on the same card , you choose which one to boot by default ( config bootconfig choice ...)

you can go back to 3.0.0 anytime with no problems .

anyway , if you are upgarding from 3.0.0 it is better to go to 3.0.4 since 3.0.3 has known issues in IP filtering !!
