H,
I have downloaded UWIN 3.1 and installed on my windows 98 system. As this is the first time I'm working on UNIX at home I don't know what all I need to setup to create a real time environment. I mean I want to setup HOME directory and able to access all commnads from any directory and .profile etc. What are all the steps I need to take care for that? I want create couple of users and directories, kind of real time environment and learn shell scripting on that. Any7 help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

I presume you have read the information on the UWin web page:

Have you manged to start a Korn shell? Once you've done that, do the usual commands work fine, such as ls, vi, etc.

You shouldn't normally have to do any customisation to have a workable environment.

Annihilannic.
