I am trying to collect more than 16 digits from the UUI field. I was told by Avaya that the UUI field can hold 24 digits, but the collect step in the vector command can only collect 16. What I am trying to do is have an IVR perform a Converse on step to send data using the Converse Data Return Code, followed by a 16 digit account number and a 2 digit client code. I am trying to collect all of these digits, route to a VDN based on the 2 digit client code, and display the 16 digit account number on the Callmaster display. The order is not important, as long as I can display a unique client name from the VDN and display an account number. Is there a way to selectively strip off digits from the UUI field? I am on a G3si V9.5. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

You can collect more than 16 digits but not in a single step. If you were sent 20 digits and wanted to collect the account information as you mentioned above, you would reverse your steps listed above.

Do a collect 2 digits, this takes the first 2 digits sent to the switch and moves them from digit buffer to collected digits. You now have your 2 digit client code, route to the appropriate split/skill/vector based on your methodology. You now need to collect the digits so the agent can see the account code. The remaining 16 digits are in collected digits buffer. Do a collect 16 digits and get your account number. The last collect step is what will be displayed on the agent's station in caller-info. Hope this helps

Thanks

Chris
