I have just configured this, and it's working fine..!
I now have to place this transfer into a script, but this hangs when the conversation between the two systems has completed successfully. The only thing that I can do from here is hit the <CR> key, which forces the script to end. I have other lines of code after the transfer which need to run.

Has anybody experienced this problem, or have you successfully scripted a 'uutry' command.

Also - has anybody got a UUCP cron in operation ?

uutry is a debuging tool for uucp. uutry will by nature, "hang" or wait for the interrupt key sequence after it has compleated all of its processing with the remote system. You should script with the uucp command and its options/switches.
