I am using /usr/bin/apache/rotatelogs to (funnily enough) rotate my access logs. This is all working lovely, but I have a question, is there a way of converting the number that apache sticks on the end of the access log to a recognisable date/time format?
An example of one of my filenames is access_log.1029715200

Thanks

Steve

In a way I am glad no one answered this, I should have found the answer myself earlier.
After checking out Apache.org it appears that while I am using 1.3 I cannot change that string it is automatically added, looks like in 2.0 you can do more with it.
While I was surfing found a nice little perl script that converts the epoch number to realtime date and time.

Hope this helps someone else
