Is is possible to build a Win2K Server as a DC, introduce it into an NT 4 existing domain, then promote this new Win2K server a the PDC of the existing NT 4 domain?
Thanks.

No...you should build your new server as Windows NT 4.0 BDC 0f your current domain. Synchronize the domain. Then promote the new server as PDC. Now, upgrade the new server to Windows 2000. (Make sure your are familiar with the upgrade process. To upgrade a PDC to Windows 2000 is very easy; however, there are many pitfalls and hazards to your environment...with replication and stuff. You should really spend time to investigate this and test test test....)

Hope this helps. Joseph L. Poandl
