Using VPN between the two

Hi all,

Bit new at this i'm afraid. I have an XP box at home with ADSL. I have set up an incoming connection on this box the host name is 'firestarter'

I have win2k laptop and set up a VPN connection which dials out ok and tries to make the connection to the host. Of course the host locally is firestater so I can't use that and becuase i'm using ADSL i dont have a fixed ip address.

How can I use my laptop by dialling a local ISP and get acess to my ADSL connected XP box?

Could you connect if you had a fixed address?

If so, why not get

http://www.no-ip.com

or

http://dns2go.deerfield.com/

That way you don't need a static IP address. ====================================
