Using Visual Basic 2008 Express.

1. How do I do brace matching? I see no brace matching. I go into fonts and colors and play w/bracing matching colors - not effect. How do I get brace matching?

2. Where are line numbers?

3. Were is block indentation. e.g. I hilite a few lines and press a button or key-conbo and all the hilited lines are indented or unindented.

4. Where is ability to show tabs, space, end of line symbols like most test editors?

Thank You!

1. Dunno.

2. Tools, Options, Text Editor Basic - Editor has a checkbox.

3. Tools, Options, Text Editor Basic - Indent Type can be set to Block. Use Tab or Shift tab to indent or outdent code blocks. Leave at Smart to let the IDE work it out.

4. Don't think there is one - closest I've found is: Tools, Options, check the Show all setting box and under the Text Editor, select Word Wrap and the highlight visual glyphs option. Not what you've asked for but the closest I've seen.

Cheers,
Dave
