Hi everyone,

While on an Avaya 9608 phone connection to an IP Office IP500v2 PBX, pressing the Twinning button while on a call disconnects it immediately. I am able to transfer a "Twinned" call from my cell phone back to my desk phone though. The Twinning feature works normally otherwise. At one time, this used to work, but somewhere along the way we must have made a change that broke this. Also, we have several IP Office IP500v2 systems running the same IP Office version and on one system I tried it on in another country worked fine.

IP Office version: 9.1.7
9608 firmware: 6.6115

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

Regards,
Trevor

Inhibit off switch transfer?

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

That setting is unchecked on both the System -> Telephony screen and on the User -> Telephony -> Supervisor Settings screen.

What type of trunks?

Maybe it's an CLI issue. What number are you sending on a twinned incomming call?

I am not sure if this answers your question or not, but we are using 24 channel PRI's.

On the "Line" screen for the PRI's, the "Send original calling party for forwarded and twinning calls" is unchecked and the "Originator number for forwarded and twinning calls" setting is also blank. The User->Mobility->Mobility->Mobile Twinning->Twinned Mobile Number has my DID preceded with "91".

If that info wasn't helpful, let me know and I can look up anything else.

Thanks so much for your help!

Wait, you're trying to twin to your own DID number? Your Twinning number should be your cell phone

Sorry. I didn't say that right. :) No, I am twinning to my cell. My cell number is preceded by "91" and what shows up on my cell when a twinned call comes in is my DID. Twinning itself is working fine, but the behavior I described in my original post happens when I click the Twinning button while on my desk phone and want to Twin it manually to my cell.

Time to have a look into system monitor what happens.

Thanks very much for the replies. Forwarding is not enabled. I have captured some logs from the System Monitor after reproducing the issue and will review them today.
