Using the Crystal Report Viewer in VB6

Is it possible to use the Crystal Report Viewer in VB6 without installing the Crystal Report application.

i.e. Can i use the Crystal Report Viewer like i would use a flexgrid, just set the datasource and have the data display in the Crystal Report Viewer like i would in a flexgrid.

You as a developer should have the developers version of Crystal reports to take full advantage of all the componets. when you package your app. the clients donot need Crystal reports installed on there systems at all. But you MUST include all the crystal dll's and related files in your package. There is alot of information on the crystal web site.

Do you mean the version that comes with Visual Studio or the full Crystal software version 8.5/9 ?

You should be able to use the version with visual studio..I am not sure if that is a developer version or not. I dont have Visual Studio 6 only a stand alone version of VB 6. I do have Visual Studio DOT NET and know Crystal Comes with that..
