Using NetBackup 4.5 on a Windows 2000 Server box.
Our server crashed last week due to hardware failure (don't trust RAID 5). Not only did one disk fail, but the machine then blue screened while writing the catalog tape. Needless to say restoring the from catalog did not restore all the necessary data.
I have spent the past couple of days doing Phase I imports on all of our tapes that contain Windows backups. I have decided I will not do a Phase II import on anything unless someone needs something restored. However now that I can see what is on each tape I can also determine when the images on the tapes would have expired had everything there not been a crash.
My problem is I am unable to change the Volume Pool of the tapes that I know would have already expired. I would like to place them in the Scratchpool, but Netbackup says "Cannot change Volume pool for assigned volume (91)"
What do I need to do so that NetBackup will allow me to put these tapes in the ScratchPool so I can start using the tapes again?
Thanks
