using tables

We are compling a 300 pg. catalog. We are using quark 6.5 (mac) to convert text to tables. This causes quark to quit (unexpectedly) not all the time but a lot. Also when copying and pasting cells, it also does this. Does anyone else use tables in Quark 6.5? Does anyone have any tips? We have combination paragraph and character style sheets - not too detailed.

I think it maybe a bug in Quark.

Every single time I Convert text to a Table, Quark quits, at least you are getting some of them to work.

And thankfuly I haven't had to do to many tables.

I've donea few tables in Quark and it is a bit hit or miss in my opinion. I'd say 15% of the time Quark falls over.

Quark's table handling is poorly implemented and, quite frankly, rubbish.
