Using SQL from Access to AS400 File

Can somene give me some direction on using an Access table to Update an AS400 file. I will have to connect to the AS400 system gather my data then do an Update SQL statement. I know how this works in Microsoft Visual FoxPro but not Access.

No idea with AS400, but the normall way would be to link to the table using File>Link Tables, write a query in the queries box and execute it.

Not sure if the versions of SQL are compatable, so you may want to execute locally.

May be worht asking on an AS400 board, as it's pretty specialist.

you should be able to write a pass through query in Access using SQL/400 syntax and commands and run that with out a problem. What is the Update query you are trying to run?
