Using SOAP in CF

Hello everyone. I need help real bad. I was wondering if anyone here can help me with a SOAP and Coldfusion problem. What I have to do is submit data to a clients site via SOAP using Coldfusion. First, I must submit the zip code, and then get a response back. If the response returned is 'valid', I then submit the rest of the data, and if the response is 'reject' or 'denied' then I capture the reason and save it in my dB.

I don't have any idea how to begin this process. I have searched online for a definitive help guide (or sample code) on using SOAP in Coldfusion, and came up empty.

Can someone please help? I have been racking my brain over this for a week, and don't have any idea.
