Hi Fellow Users,
I'am new to all of this. I need help to check the Ref Integrity of a
database. Using Novell 4.11 SQL 7.0. My file or files will not allow me
to enter tranactions in my G/L and sometimes it takes them but will not
show up in some reports. I was running a large report and the system
begin to run slower and slower and then crashed. After restarting these
problems seem to start.
So,to make a long story short some advice on how to use Riutil at Server
Console would help me. (I think)
I read & try but I always get some error like invalid parameter or ect.
Heres what I have been entering:
load Riutil -check vendor.dat file.ddf /R:/sys:\testinfo\testinfo.txt
looks good to me but don't fly. let me explain the command line...
Vendor.dat = database file name
file.ddf = data Dic file
/R = switch to repair inconsistent depentant table ect
/sys:\path\report file name in other words
/sys:\yardi\8989\testresults.txt (file)
Is that as clear as mud or what.?
Finally.,, I guess I don't understand how to put in the syntxt at the
command line
Thanks for your time to read this and if you can help me thanks so
much!!
