Hi,

is it possible to use percentages on images? So that they will fit the window exactly no matter what size it is set? (I have this problem while I want to make a website that is suitable for 1024x768 as well as 800x600). Or is it possible to use percentages on a backgroundimage of a table?

Thanks,
Ezra

Hi Ezra!

You can easily set image's width and height in percents. [ol]
[li]Just select an image,
[li]open Properties window (Window > Properties),
[li]set width and height - nn%.
[/ol]

But I don't really think you can set width and height of a background image...[cry] But you can set other different thing of background image using CSS:

[ol]
[li]open page in DW;
[li]open CSS Styles window (Window > CSS Styles);
[li]press New Style (plus sign) at the bottom of the CSS Styles window;
[li]type name of new style at the New Style dialog window, select Type (probably you'll need Make Custom Style) and select where it should be defined - either separate file or in this document (separate file would be better but if you are not OK with it yet choose This Document Only);
[li]select Background in the Style Definition diallog window (that will pop up immediately after you click OK in the New Style dialog window),
[li]set all settings you need.
[/ol] Good Luck! :)

is it a good idea to let the browser resize your image? please inform the user on the disadvantages of letting the browser resize an image when you say that it can be done Ranjan
