Anybody out there know if there is a universal keyboard hotkey combo to simulate a mouse click?

The scenario is that I have the mouse cursor at a particular point on the screen, and the (non-focusable) widget at that point does not have its own hotkey combo, but I want to left-click it repeatedly, and would prefer to use the keyboard, as it's faster and eliminates the risk of moving the cursor.

Left ALT+LEFT SHIFT+NumLock Toggles MouseKeys on/off

an accessibility feature

then 5 on the numberpad is a left click
