Hello I was wondering if you could help me I have modified the Access template for Inventory. I have modified the template to add all of the current stock on the add inventory sub form however when I go to the inventory transactions list it will not show my totals on actual inventory when I subtract out items.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you provide more detail? To make sure on the same page, we need more detail... what tables/fields... how did you modify? Did you modify the form, the table, query, what?

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:57

I have two main forms one is inventory transactions list. In this form I subtract out inventory items for the different office areas that need supplies. In this form is a field Actual Quantity with the code [Inventory Transactions].Quantity. The second for is Inventory list. I modified the form in which inventory is added to included all of the additions of new supplies added that has come into the office so there are multiple records for pens etc. . This form is updated by a subform called Inventory Details. On the inventory details are two fields. The first one is In stock. There is also a code here which is =DSum("[Actual Quantity]","[Inventory Transactions Extended]","[Inventory.ID] = " & [InventoryID]). When the form loads the In stock shows #Error. The second field that I have added is Quantity. Since I wasn’t sure why I was getting an error message on the In Stock field, I was hoping to have the total items in stock shown in the Quantity field. I was trying to get a total count of the items to show but I am not sure why it’s not working.
Thanks,
Keri

The table that I am using for both forms is called Inventory. The first form Inventory Transactions list query is called Inventory Transactions Extended. The second form Inventory list query is Inventory Extended. the subform inventory details is just using the table inventory.

Is this an Inventory Transaction table, where you record an inventory ADD transaction or an inventory REMOVE tranasction and the quantity for each?

To get the OhHand balance you would ADD the ADDs and SUBTRACT the REMOVEs.

Skip,

[glasses]Just traded in my old subtlety...
for a NUANCE![tongue]

In the Inventory Transaction table is where I remove a transction for each inventory. I have the inventory list to add inventory to.
