using HP-UX sendmail with an external server

Hi folks,
I've got an HP-UX server; I've got an IMAP/SMTP/POP3 server.
I'd like to have users on the HP-UX read mail off my IMAP/SMTP/POP3 server, jsut like my Solaris users are able to; just telling the mail client the name of the server and
being done with it. However, the HP-UX cde mail client does not have the same options; you can apparently only read mail from sendmail on the local machine. Anyone got any nice ideas how I get around this?
