using groupwise

hello,

i am using ms access 2k. I sent an e-mail using

DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport, "Contract", acFormatRTF, TTo, CC, "", Subject, Msg, False

through outlook express. WORKED GREAT!!...problemm is we use groupwise. i have seen api's to download to use groupwise through access. problem is i dont understand how to use this. AND from what i was reading mapi commands work with groupwise. Also, jfyi, the DoCmd.SendObject works perfect in outlook actually sending a e-mail. With groupwise, it opens the program and opens a new mail but doesnt put in the to: , subject: , bb: , cc:, or anything else AND wont send it.

one quick question....why doesnt mapi command work?...

this download has so much to it, it seems that it is designed to do so much more than i need it to. Although it works, it would be nice to keep it simple. is there a way to make the DoCmd.SendObject method work?...

Not sure how to use MAPI. I use the groupwise object. It's a pain but I have not seen s simpler example.

I've downloaded the mdb that Mike suggested and I'm perusing the demo. I have to admit, it is a bit (okay, a lot) above my head and I don't really understand how to use it. I've tried just running the demo but nothing seems to happen.

Should the demo run without altering it? Or must I alter it to fit our Groupwise configuration?

Correction! I'm getting a groupwise mail with this subject:

foo.invalid550 Host unknown

I'll try tinkering with the demo.
