Using different drive types in drive pools

I am attempting to use different drive types in my drive pools and have my backup jobs use tapes from both drives automatically. Both drives are not being used at the same time, the backup job only requires on tape. When the tape is full, I would like BackupExec (version 7.3) to use the next available tape, no matter which drive it is in inside the drive pool. No luck!

Has anyone else ran into this problem? It is my understanding that this functionality is available in BackupExec.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
