Using DIAG Command to Disable Processors?

Our machines are located remotely, and we are functioning as a test lab, not production. We have been forced to use the service processor on site in order to reconfigure our processors (like disabling and reenabling them).

It appears that there is a possibility that the 'diag' command allows for doing this based on the 'man' page listing of the commands capabilities.

However, when you run the diag command, and it brings up a menu, we can't find anything in the menus referencing reconfiguring processors.

Has anyone used this command in this way, or have any experience with it in this area?

Thanks, Steve

We are using the 'S' series of machines and I don't believe the cpu_deallocate is compatible with that category of platforms.

So far, we can only change configuration of CPU's by rebooting and going into the service manager. We were just looking for another way that would work on this series of machines.
