Using DFS to synchronise user profiles across two sites

Has anyone here used DFS to successfully synchronise user profiles across two different sites?

I would like to keep an updated copy of user profiles in two different locations so users can login at either site. I would like to replicate the profiles every night using an automatated schedule.
