Using Dect for alerting

Hello,



I have IP Office v7 with Dect R4 and VM Pro

The customer wants to use the Dect as alert device.

Requirement :

1. dial all DECT phones together
2. Get a different Ringtone
3. See User Name

1+2 can be achieved with a huntgroup and a priority call to the huntgroup. But it shows only the number.

1+3 can be achieved with Voicemail pro and transfer action but I can't make it a priority call (if a use the previous shortcode I still dont see the name)

Did you upgrade the dect phones to the latest release?
In that release the dect phone has more room on the screen for characters.
If not then you only have one or two lines of characters.

Hello,

The problem is not about size. I have small name for testing and two digit intern number.

When I call the hunt group, I see the name of the user. when I call the huntgroup with priority call, I see only the Extension number.

What version does your dect phones has, i really think it could be the version.
Although 7.0 and the priority call had some bugs on GA.

Can you route it trough VMPro and then add a tag to it or does that also shows the extension number?

This is what I did in case two.

It works to show exactly what I want. I still need, as it is use for alerting, to have a different ringtone on the mobile.

I achieved the different ringtone by using "priority call". But I can't use it directly in VM Pro.

When you use VMPro then you need to transfer it to the shortcode that you made for the priority call.
There is no other option.

Yes this is exactly my problem as when I use the short code, it won't show the info I set.

Any other way than priority call to make a phone ring with different ringtone?
