Is it possible to use the force the charge code feature to do this in a Nortel system. This phone system resides in Beijing, Chia but is programmed just like a Nortel Option system.

Currently when a guest comes in theey would have to dial "9" (get an outside line) + 17909 (Special in Beijing China where it auto selects the cheapest carrier to go with)+ 2425 (area code) + 45634568 (phone number) Total numbers that needs to be entered ***"9"+17909+2425+45634568***.

I want to eliminate having to enter the 17909 number and somehow program in the system for the charge code to auto enter the 17909 and just automaticlly get a dial tone. Then the customer can just dial the area code and number.

So it would look something like this "9"+Charge button+area code + phone number. I know I can program a speed dial to automaticlly enter the 17909 but after the customer hit the speed dial button there is no dial tone after it and they may not know what to do next because it is just dead air.

So by forcing the charge button to auto enter the number 17909 and just get another dial tone the customer will know that they will need to input a phone number.

I think you just want to use DMI to insert that code in front of all dialed numbers that need it. Do you use BARS in that system?
